Thursday, April 21, 2022. Public Hearing #2 regarding Oak Lodge Water Services (OLWS) becoming an Authority
The Oak Lodge Water Services Board of Directors is seeking to reorganize OLWS as a Joint Water & Sanitary Authority. A Joint Water & Sanitary Authority is a type of special district under Oregon law and the reorganization would solidify the OLWS service area. This change will not affect the services you receive or the ratemaking process, which will continue to be based on the cost of service.
To reorganize OLWS as a Joint Water & Sanitary Authority is an action that would be taken by the Clackamas County Board of County Commissioners (the “County Board”). The County Board has scheduled a second public hearing to consider the proposal on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 10:00 am. The hearing will be held at 2051 Kaen Road, Oregon City, Oregon 97045 in the County Board Hearing Room (4th Floor).
Customers and all members of the public are invited to attend the public hearing and submit comment on the proposal, either in-person or by Zoom. Comments may also be provided to the County Board by e-mail in advance of the hearing, by writing to bcc@clackamas.us with “OLWS” as the subject line.
The County’s website will be updated at least one week before the hearing with information on how to submit testimony and attend the hearing. Please visit the following web address for further information: https://www.clackamas.us/meetings/bcc/business.
Materials pertaining to the formation of the Joint Water & Sanitary Authority are available on the OLWS website and at the OLWS administrative offices.
